I saw this on Butcher Billy’s Instagram earlier of a card he’s designed for the pack of Topps cards that are being released today and let me tell you that I screamed.
It says “Alive at the upside down” 👀👀👀
First we get an episode title and now this….I might be reading too much into it but I swtg Eddie will be back in Season 5 with a vengeance.
Eddie is like Travis from Critical Role when it comes to romance in d&d, doesn’t believe in it or see a point to it. After too many interrupted romance plots the rest of the coffin boys and Dustin make a plan.
They grab Steve and teach him how to play before getting him to join Dustin’s next campaign. Steve flirts relentlessly with Eddie’s character, teasing and seducing his boyfriend all over again while the rest of the table howls with laughter. Eddie constantly has a low level blush during games as Steve purrs in his ear when they’re on watch or winks at him between rounds of combat.
The campaign ends with Eddie and Steve’s characters getting married, complete with Steve actually getting on one knee when his character proposes. Eddie is tearing up as they say their vows and the group actually gives him a fake flower bouquet.
What started out as a joke to make Eddie blush and shut up about them wanting to romance his beloved NPCs turned into one of the sweetest, happiest moments of Eddie’s life.
